Jessie Ulmer

Author of Bewildered, Jessie Ulmer is an identical twin, a swan by birth and a fan of the abyss – the magic and mystery that can be reached in the dark unknown. She writes soft and eerie fiction exploring themes of ability, identity, sexuality, and gender. Her current projects include reluctant zombies, queer swan maidens, and tender murder ghosts. She is delighted to edit for Sword & Kettle Press, and has been published in Syntax & Salt, Gingerbread House, 3Elements Review, Pins and Needles: A Journal of Contemporary Fairy Tales, The Yellow Chair Review, and Washington’s Best Emerging Poets Anthology. In 2019 she was nominated for a Best of the Net Award.
