Author of Bewildered - a collection of Hansel and Gretel prose and poetry - Jessie Ulmer is an identical twin, a swan by birth, and a fan of the abyss – the magic and mystery that can be reached in the dark unknown. They write tender and eerie fiction exploring themes of ability, ailment, gender, sexuality, love, loss, longing, and magic. Or - They daydream and type about it. Their current projects include lesbian murder ghosts, queer swan maidens, reluctant unionized zombies, resilient repaired robots, and God as your bad roommate. They have edited for several publications and presses, including Sword & Kettle Press and Sweet Tree Review. Jessie has been published by Syntax & Salt, Gingerbread House, 3Elements Review, Pins and Needles: A Journal of Contemporary Fairy Tales, The Yellow Chair Review, and Washington’s Best Emerging Poets Anthology, and have been nominated for a Best of the Net Award.
